Last year I set a 12,000k cycling target and this year I’m embarking on my “100 Days Of Tri” challenge. This is all good fun (or not), it keeps me fit and healthy, but they’re obviously inwardly focused. So along with my 100 Days Of Tri this year, I’m setting another, more intrinsically motivated challenge. Over the last 6 months I’ve managed to donate a lot to charity (mostly clothes), so I’m taking it a step further…
Give! Give! Give!
The challenge is this…To donate something to charity every week for the whole year. I already have some things in mine that I can donate, but I am by no means a hoarder. I hate “stuff”, and given just how much I do, I don’t really have a great deal of it. The hope here is that I’ll very quickly be in the position where I’ll be donating things that I wouldn’t have without setting this challenge. In other words, It’ll force me to give things away that I actually kind of want. One thing I don’t need reminded of if how fortunate I am in this world and I should be willing to give away some of what I have.
I’ll be updating this post each week adding what I’ve given away to the gallery below.
